In 1994, Dustin began working for
McDonald Mill sanding wooden balusters. One day, he watched Max McDonald create a freestanding spiral staircase and decided that he wanted to learn. Dustin became Max's apprentince learning everything possible about the angels, pitches and techniques to fabricate spiral stairways.
Today, Dustin is known throughout the industry as someone who can make the impossible happen. He creates brilliant templates and forms to help bring his visions to life. He has passed his knowedge along to Danny (his brother in law) and they make a great team creating very complicated wood pieces.
